Key Responsibilities – Business Development Representative (BDR)
Business Development & Sales
- Generate new business by acquiring customers for general insurance products such as health, motor, personal accident, and other non-life insurance plans
- Identify and develop leads through field visits, referrals, and local market activities
- Promote insurance products by explaining coverage, benefits, premiums, and policy terms clearly
- Achieve assigned monthly sales and premium collection targets
Customer Onboarding & Support
- Assist customers in policy issuance, documentation, and onboarding process
- Ensure accurate and complete proposal forms and KYC documents as per company guidelines
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth policy activation and issuance
- Provide post-sales support and guide customers on policy-related queries
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and channel partners
- Conduct regular follow-ups to understand customer needs and offer suitable insurance solutions
- Support renewal business and generate repeat sales through relationship management
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations, company policies, and ethical sales practices
- Maintain proper records of leads, policies sold, and customer interactions
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to reporting managers
Team & Channel Coordination
- Work closely with branch teams, agents, and partners to meet overall business goals
- Contribute to business growth through consistent field performance and customer service quality
