Key Responsibilities – Sales Manager
Sales Growth & Business Development
- Drive sales of general insurance products such as motor, health, personal accident, travel, and commercial insurance
- Develop new business through team-led sales activities and market expansion
- Plan and execute local sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly premium targets
- Promote products by clearly explaining coverage, benefits, pricing, and policy features
Team Management & Performance
- Recruit, train, guide, and motivate sales executives and agents to achieve targets
- Monitor individual and team performance and provide regular coaching
- Set clear goals and ensure productivity through daily tracking and reviews
Customer & Partner Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and partners
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through solution-based selling
- Support renewal business, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities
Operations & Customer Support
- Oversee smooth policy issuance, documentation, and onboarding process
- Ensure accurate completion of proposal forms and KYC documents
- Coordinate with internal underwriting and operations teams
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate sales records, MIS, and pipeline data
- Submit regular performance reports to management
Branch & Channel Coordination
- Work closely with branch operations and distribution channels
- Contribute to sustainable business growth through leadership and service quality
